Fairground operators are on the hunt for Scots to test out the rides and taste the food as part of a new thrilling role.
Global Events and Attractions, who run fairs across Scotland the rest of the UK, is seeking a seasoned fairground fan to take on its new Thrill Tester role.
Successful applicants will be tasked with trying out every single ride and sampling each aspect of the customer journey.
This will also include testing the pancakes, candy floss and burgers available at the designated sites across the UK.
People interested in taking on the role must be over the age of 18 and must be available to take on the position of Thrill Tester for the next 12 months.
An example of an event currently being held by the operator is the Galactic Carnival at Silverburn Shopping Centre in Glasgow.
The fair, which will be on until April 18, offers ‘something for everyone’ – including family friendly attractions to thrill seeking rides.
One of the highlights of the fair is the Giant Wheel – a 33m tall wheel giving passengers the best seat in the house, with a view over Glasgow for miles.
Douglas Taylor of Global Events & Attractions said “We aim to go one step bigger with every event that we deliver and Galactic Carnival is no different. It is absolutely jam packed with rides for all of the family and, with our next big event at an undisclosed site in the city coming up soon, we want to find a ride-aholic who will work with us to make it even better.
“From the rides to the food and drink everything in the fairground has to be just right for the party atmosphere. We are looking for someone to show us the wealth of their experience visiting fairgrounds and to try out our rides and win the boasting rights that they have ridden each event start to finish first.”
To apply for the role of Thrill Tester, applicants should send a video where they discuss the best thrill ride they have ever ridden and describe why they like it so much.
Successful applicants will be able to test every event run by Global Events and Attractions for the next 12 months and they will have unlimited access to each one for themselves and their family.
The video should be sent to email@example.com by Friday, April 15.
